Description
Nonsteroidal antiandrogen; most effective in prostate cancer when used simultaneously with LHRH agonists; not effective in treating other hormonally dependent diseases such as breast cancer.
Indications
Indicated for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, severe hepatic disease

Warnings
Risk of severe liver injury
Potential for aniline toxicity (methemoglobinemia, hemolytic anemia etc); specially monitor patients sensitive to aniline toxicity
Risk for cardiovascular disease may increase with androgen deprivation
